I've been laying down for hours and....

I absolutely cannot sleep, so I figured I might as well make a post since there isn't anything else to do..
Things have been going pretty well - I had a great Christmas - I actually ended up staying at my mom's house for almost an entire week! It was really good to be home and spend time with my family. Other than that, not much is new - I've just been trying to see everyone before they go back for school.






I can't believe it is almost the new year - It seriously seems that every single year goes by faster than the last. I think I'm going to a new year's eve party with Emilio's family or something and then going to the Lambda Chi house afterward, so hopefully it will be a good year.

My resolutions this year are :::: 1.) To get my ankle back to normal. 2.) To start nursing school. 3.) to learn spanish. & 4.)to get back into really good shape .
& I also just want to become an overall better person/friend/etc....I want to learn to listen more...and to take more chances....and to not overanalyze things...and all kinds of stuff like that....really just an overall self-improvement.

I love my wonderful friends! I feel alot better now, and I know christmas break will be great!

Christmas break has already had a crazy start, so I'm looking foward to see what the new year brings....I'm happy to be walking again, but there are some things I'm unsettled about at the moment....We'll see what happens......

I will be in the boot for a month, but I can take it off to shower!
I have to start doing physical therapy 3x's a week for the next 4 weeks.....
and HOPEFULLY depending on how my physical therapy goes in two weeks I will be able to take off my boot to drive!

Well, I had a doctor's appointment on Monday...things went a little differently than planned, but I think it is a good thing!! Originally, the plan was to put me in a walking boot but still be non-weight bearing and in two weeks start putting some weight on it, but still using crutches, and then two weeks later starting to walk in the boot without my crutches, so it would have still been 4 more weeks until I could fully walk with a boot, and 6 weeks until I could drive/walk with no boot....BUT the new plan is: He put me in another cast (hot pink this time - haha) so the bone fibers will have more time to heal, and in two weeks (or 12 days now, but whos counting?!) I should be able to start walking in a boot without crutches (well he said at first I may choose to use them for comfort, but its really just up to me!) I am soooooooooo excited! I never thought I would be so ready to start school/work again! Everyone keep your fingers crossed, and I will keep yall updated :)

So Amanda and I had this great idea to prepare a thanksgiving dinner (ALL BY OURSELVES) for us and two of our guy friends on wednesday night........but now that I'm looking at recipes I think we've gotten ourselves a little too deep.....I'll have to let you guys know how this one goes.....

My foot is feeling a 1000x's better...Honestly, now it is just annoying to deal with not being able to function normally....and crutches. I'm trying to resume a semi-regular routine though and I'm doing a good job for the most part. Hopefully, the doc will put me in a walking boot in 3 weeks from now :)

I really missed my mom today and really yesterday too because I only saw her for like 10 minutes yesterday......I get to see her tomorrow though!

I think I may try to go down to ttown this weekend - I'm REALLY excited about the Bama/LSU game! I've realized lately that I truly enjoy being from the South. I'm proud to be Southern born and bred. I honestly don't think I could ever leave the south anymore.

Well the first picture is from me, Alana, and Amanda's late night trip to wal-mart the other night, and the picture below is from right after my surgery! The surgery went well - and I am feeling alot better than I thought I would. God had truly been watching out for me during this whole thing. Dr. Kirchner is a GREAT doctor and I am SOOO VERY LUCKY to have had him. He and his whole staff were so eager to help me in any way they could! I had a lot of friends come up to the hospital last night which made it so much easier on me I think! so Thanks to Daniel, Amanda, Dave, Anna, and Emilio for keeping me company - not to mention all the phone calls I got and all the presents I recieved - I am so blessed to have such incredible friends to help me get through things like this :) Me, and my mom and Emilio played MadLibs until 12:00 which was HILARIOUS! I woke up almost every 2 hours during the night because the morphine wore off so fast. They set me home with perkiset though which seems to be getting the job done pretty well.....if you can't tell I'm definatly drugged right now and probably not making a whole lot of sense! I'm also really greatful for my mom - I wasn't always so nice to her -especially right before the surgery because I was a nervous wreck - but she put up with me anyway and I'm very lucky to have such a great best friend :) Anyway just wanted to give an update on how I'm doing since my surgery!

well as most of you probably already know from my mom, i was in a car wreck. I messed up my right foot pretty bad. Its been a nightmare, but I'm really lucky that my foot is the only thing major. I had a really bad experience with a doctor from St. Vincents so I've been discouraged, but Monday I'm going to see a doctor that my mom really admires so hopefully I'll stay on schedule and have my surgery Tuesday....if not it will probably be the next week.

My grandaddy and my brother are so cute - I had to post this of my grandad in his bear bryant hat! My best guy friend, David, just got this puppy from the humane society and I am its god-mother! I am obsessed with it! I want a dog so bad but I don't have enough time, so I just started taking Oz on walks with me and stuff while Dave is at work!

I just made this for my mom! She is my best friend and I am so lucky to have her! When I was younger, we went through some rough times, and I am so thankful we overcame them and can be what we are now!

This is a picture of the beach on our first day, and a group shot of everyone that went! I had soo much fun! I honestly didn't know if I would have a good time since I didn't know most the girls going, but they were all so welcoming and so sweet, and I had the best time getting to know them!
I wish I had gotten more pictures of everybody, but my mom got a ton! I know between everyone there we have like a million pictures! So I just got back from the beach with the Children's ER and I had so much fun! All of those girls are so sweet! I made this so I could share pictures with everyone. I tried to upload my mom's to my computer but her camera wouldn't fit the chord I have for mine, so she'll just have to get on here and upload hers herself, but I'll post mine really soon!
